About Us

Our Vision

The program will form partnerships with local school districts, churches, civic organizations, social awareness organizations, veterans, the juvenile court systems, and re-entry to bring a holistic approach to addressing the epidemic of gun violence.

Our MISSION

We are committed to inspiring and empowering young people to rise above the cycle of gun violence. By creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, we offer hope to those affected and guide them toward healing and growth. Our mission is to equip youth with the tools, confidence, and purpose to make positive life choices and become powerful agents of change within their communities.

Our REASON

The Namel Prince Foundation (NPF) was created in October 2019, in memory of Namel Prince Augustine who was murdered by a gunman in Chesapeake Virginia.  The foundation was established by Namel’s mother Candace who, after losing her only son to gun violence, became a strong proponent for preventing gun violence and fostering a safer neighborhood.
